Everyone was given copies of all the surveys that were sent back to us. Janet will give a survey to LABBB Wellington Classroom.
We agreed that we will meet every other week, rotating Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Our next meeting with be on September 28th at 2:15. Patric will send out a schedule of all the dates for the year.
We need a system to purchase computers. Kerson will work with Tom and I to develop a plan to buy the same computers in all our programs. Furthermore we will order site licenses to each computer is loaded with the same basic applications.
We will schedule a time for Jan Hollenbeck to meet with us. Fridays are the only days she can come in.
Classroom computers: many do not work, we do not have a person on site to fix computers, we need virus protection and many other issues related to troubleshooting are an issue. We are going to develop a plan where a person can call someone to come in and fix computer. In some buildings we can access the town computer tech, but this is not available in all our programs.
We need to focus on teaching staff basic computers skills. We want to build confidence and have an interest in using the applications.
We can help classrooms build websites or blogs for student homework, journals etc. We need to give staff the training and tools and assist them to do this.
Finding times to give staff training will be discussed by Lindsay and Patric and we will get back to the team.
